Team Nexora: Andhra Pradesh’s team in the finale

Team Nexora is from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Aditya University, Surampalem (Kakinada district). The team members are:

  • G Sriraj (team lead)
  • Dhanush K
  • A Ajarya Paul

When Round 3 ended, Aditya University shared that the team was among the 40 shortlisted teams. Now they’ve cleared Round 4 as well and are in the last 8, the only team from Andhra Pradesh to get this far.

Honestly, this matters beyond one college. Most people assume these finales are only for IITs, NITs and big-city colleges. A team from a university in Kakinada district reaching the last 8 out of lakhs of registrations shows that the selection is about the work you submit, not the name of your college.

How the rounds worked

This was a long hackathon. It started with an online test in August and ends with the finale in October. Here is every round, with dates from the official Unstop page.

Round What it was Dates
Round 1 Online assessment (MCQ + coding), 1 hour 9–10 August 2026
Round 2 Case study on brand visibility, 45 minutes 16 August 2026
Round 3 Development round: build the solution and submit code 27 August – 13 September 2026
Live launch session Problem briefing by Adobe for shortlisted teams 3 September 2026
Round 4 Prototype showcase: working interface + demo video 21–27 September 2026
Finale confirmation Shortlisted teams confirm they will attend 2–5 October 2026
Round 5 Grand Finale at Adobe, Noida 16 October 2026

In Round 3, teams had to submit a ZIP of their project with a short README. In Round 4, they had to build a working prototype that users can actually click through and explore, and send a demo video of 5 minutes or less, plus an optional “reproduction” text file so judges could re-run their work.

So the last two rounds were not about slides. They were about building something that works.

Prizes: what the finalists can win

Who Prize
Winner MacBook Pro for each team member
First runners-up MacBook Neo for each team member
National finalists Adobe merchandise and a chance at a fully sponsored Adobe office visit
Top 50 participants Chance at a PPI and an Adobe internship, stipend ₹1,10,000 per month
50 shortlisted teams Certificates from Adobe

Note on PPIs: Adobe says only the 2028 batch is eligible for the internship PPIs. If you’re in a different batch, the internship part may not apply to you even if you’re in the top 50.

Also note the words “a chance”. The top 50 are not promised an internship. They get a chance at an interview. Still, a ₹1,10,000 monthly stipend is among the highest you’ll see for student internships in India, which is why lakhs of students registered.

What happens next

  • 16 October 2026: the 8 teams present their solutions to Adobe’s leadership in Noida.
  • After the finale: the winners were announced on 16 October. Read the Adobe University Hackathon 2026 winners post.
  • PPI and internship process: Adobe hasn’t shared exact dates for this yet. Watch your registered email and the Unstop page.

If you’re preparing for other off-campus routes in the meantime, read our post on TCS NQT October 2026 before you pay for it.

My take: should you try next year?

Yes, if you’re in 2nd or 3rd year of B.Tech and can give it 6 to 8 weeks. Round 1 is a normal MCQ and coding test, so DSA practice helps there. But the later rounds reward people who can build and ship a working product, not just solve coding questions.

Two things I’d do differently from most students:

  • Build one real project before August. Something with a working interface that others can use. Rounds 3 and 4 are exactly this.
  • Practise explaining your project in 5 minutes. The Round 4 video had a hard 5-minute limit. Most people lose marks by running out of time before showing the main feature.

And if you’re from a smaller college thinking “this isn’t for us”, look at Team Nexora again. Register next year.
