ITPO Recruitment 2026: 46 Group C posts filled from SSC CGL, JE and Steno 2024 scores, no new exam. Eligibility, age, ₹1,000 fee and how to apply by 13 Nov.
ITPO Recruitment 2026 is open for 46 Group C posts, and the last date to apply is 13 November 2026. India Trade Promotion Organisation, the PSU that runs Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi, wants Junior Assistants, Junior Stenographers, Assistant (Accounts) and Senior Assistants.
Here’s the catch most job sites skip: there’s no new exam, and you can apply only if you already took SSC CGL 2024, SSC JE 2024 or SSC Stenographer 2024 and weren’t finally selected. ITPO will pick people from those SSC scores. The one Architecture post uses GATE scores instead.

Junior Assistant has the most seats at 19. The Architecture post is a single OBC seat, so general candidates can’t get it at all.
How this recruitment works (no exam)
This is the part to understand before you pay ₹1,000.
Under a DoPT rule from December 2020 (OM No. 39020/01/2016-Estt.(B)), SSC can share the scores of candidates who cleared most of the process but were not finally recommended for a job. Other government bodies and PSUs can then hire from that list without holding their own exam.
ITPO is doing exactly that. It has linked each post to one SSC exam:

The notice says it covers candidates who “have opted to disclose their details”. In simple words: if you said no to sharing your data in your SSC form, or you didn’t appear in that 2024 exam, this recruitment isn’t for you.

For the engineering posts, experience means construction and maintenance work in government, a PSU or a reputed private company. Exhibition work is preferred. Knowing a foreign language other than English is listed as “desirable” for all three Senior Assistant posts.
The 2-year experience rule for Junior Assistant and Assistant (Accounts) will knock out a lot of CGL 2024 candidates. Many of them are freshers who have been preparing full-time since graduation. Read that line twice before you apply.
A few more rules from the notice:
- Experience counts only after you got your qualification, and is checked as on 13 November 2026.
- Write your percentage to two decimal places. 54.99% is treated as less than 55%, with no rounding.
- If you work in a central or state government office, autonomous body or PSU, you need a No Objection Certificate from your employer. A resignation letter or an “NOC applied” receipt won’t do.

SC, ST, OBC (NCL), PwBD and Ex-Servicemen get relaxation in the upper age limit as per Government of India rules. The notice doesn’t print the number of years. Usually it’s 5 years for SC/ST, 3 for OBC and 10 for PwBD in central jobs, but go by ITPO’s rules if they publish them separately.
Note that the age is counted on 13 November 2026, not on the date of your SSC exam. If you were 27 when you sat CGL 2024, you may be over the limit now.
Selection process
- You apply online and upload your SSC mark sheet (or GATE AR score), certificates and experience proof.
- ITPO screens applications using the details you entered.
- ITPO makes a merit list from your final marks and rank in the linked SSC 2024 exam (or GATE score for Architecture), checked against the experience rules.
- Provisionally eligible candidates are called for document verification. The list goes on the ITPO website and call letters go only by email.
- The names of provisionally selected candidates are put on the ITPO website. A medical standard and background check also apply.
Your 2024 score is already fixed. Nothing you do now will change your rank, so the only thing that matters is a clean, correct application.
ITPO salary 2026
ITPO pays on the IDA (PSU) pattern. Allowances are extra as per ITPO rules.

The job is mostly based around ITPO’s work at Bharat Mandapam, but the notice says selected candidates can be posted anywhere in India.

- Fill in your personal, education, experience and SSC exam details. Marks go to two decimal places.
- Upload your photo, signature, proof of birth, certificates, category certificate, SSC 2024 mark sheet (or GATE AR scorecard) and experience certificates.
- Pay the ₹1,000 fee online, unless you’re SC/ST/PwBD/Ex-Servicemen.
- Check every field and submit. No corrections are allowed after submission.
- Download a copy for your records.

Should you apply?
Apply if you took SSC CGL 2024, JE 2024 or Steno Grade C 2024, came close but missed the final list, and meet the experience and age rules. For you, this is a rare chance at a central PSU job without sitting another exam. With only 46 posts, the merit list will be tight, so a strong 2024 rank matters most.
Skip it if you didn’t appear in those SSC exams, opted out of sharing your data, or don’t have the 2 years of experience for Junior Assistant or Accounts. The ₹1,000 fee is not small, and ITPO says just meeting the minimum rules won’t guarantee a call for verification.
Honestly, I’d also spend 10 minutes checking your final SSC CGL 2024 marks on ssc.gov.in before paying.
