OTT Releases This Weekend (9–11 Oct 2026): 8 New Titles
OTT releases this weekend, 9 to 11 October 2026: Epic, Reporting Live, Mandaadi, Khalifa, Eyes and more. Platform, languages and what each one is about.

OTT releases this weekend (9 to 11 October 2026) are stronger than what’s in theatres. Netflix has four new Indian films: Epic, Reporting Live, Mandaadi and Pradhama Drishtiya Kuttakkar. Prime Video has Prithviraj’s Khalifa, and SonyLIV has a new Malayalam series, Eyes.
Theatres are quiet because everyone is waiting for next week, when Jailer 2, Vishwambhara and Ranabaali arrive. So this is a good weekend to stay home. Here’s the list, with no spoilers.
| Title | Type | Original language | Where to watch | Streaming from |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Epic (First Semester) | Film | Telugu | Netflix | 9 Oct |
| Reporting Live | Film | Hindi | Netflix | 9 Oct |
| Mandaadi | Film | Tamil | Netflix | 8 Oct |

I checked the four Netflix titles on Netflix India’s own pages on 9 October. The Prime Video, SonyLIV and ETV Win entries are as reported by news outlets, so open the app once to confirm before you plan your evening.
OTT releases this weekend on Netflix
Epic (Telugu)
Anand Deverakonda and Vaishnavi Chaitanya, the Baby pair, are back together. Aditya is a young man studying in London who struggles with family pressure, cultural gaps and loneliness. Then he meets Kadali.
- Cast: Anand Deverakonda, Vaishnavi Chaitanya, Sivaji, Vasuki
- Audio: Telugu (original), Tamil, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam
- Rating on Netflix: A
The film was called Epic: First Semester in theatres. On Netflix, search for just Epic. Note the A rating, so it’s not one for family viewing with kids.
Reporting Live (Hindi)
Parineeti Chopra plays a young reporter. She and her reluctant cameraman chase a story and get caught in an illegal sand-mining racket run by a ruthless syndicate.
- Cast: Parineeti Chopra, Deven Bhojani, Amol Palekar, Shekhar Suman, Adil Hussain, Nassar, Saswata Chatterjee
- Audio: Hindi (original), Tamil, Telugu, English
- Rating on Netflix: U/A 13+
That’s a solid supporting cast for a thriller. With Telugu and Tamil audio, it works for South audiences too.
Mandaadi (Tamil)
A sports drama set on the sea. A fishing captain uses what he knows about the water to guide a six-person crew in a traditional boat race against fierce rival teams.
- Cast: Soori, Suhas, Mahima Nambiar, Ravindra Vijay, Bala Saravanan
- Audio: Tamil (original), Telugu, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam
- Rating on Netflix: U/A 16+
Telugu viewers will know Suhas, who has a main role here. It has been streaming since Thursday, 8 October.
Pradhama Drishtiya Kuttakkar (Malayalam)
A woman joins the police to take her late husband’s place. An accidental death then pulls her into a cover-up inside the force.
- Cast: Parvathy Thiruvothu, Mathew Thomas, Vijayaraghavan, Sidharth Bharathan, Vinay Forrt
- Rating on Netflix: U/A 16+
One thing to check: some news sites say it has Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Hindi dubs. The Netflix India page I saw listed Malayalam audio with English subtitles only. If you need a dub, look at the audio menu first.

New on Prime Video, SonyLIV and ETV Win
Khalifa (Malayalam)
Prithviraj Sukumaran’s action thriller came to theatres on 20 August 2026, for Onam. As per media reports, it started streaming on 9 October on several platforms at once:
- Prime Video and Lionsgate Play: Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Hindi
- aha: for Telugu and Tamil viewers
- ManoramaMAX: Malayalam
It is the first part of a planned two-part story. If you have any one of these subscriptions, you don’t need another.
Paris Cafe (Tamil)
A small family drama that released in theatres on 18 September 2026. Oli’s planned trip to Paris turns personal when she learns something about her parents, and she starts digging into the family’s past. Guru Somasundaram and Anumol play the leads, and Saraj Seelan directs. It’s reported on Prime Video from 9 October.
Eyes (Malayalam series)
A SonyLIV series directed by Manu Ashokan (Uyare) and written by Bobby-Sanjay. Kani Kusruti plays a police officer investigating stalking cases against women. Nikhila Vimal and Dev Mohan are also in the cast. Reports say it streams with Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Hindi audio as well.
Least Eligible Bachelor (Telugu series)
An ETV Win original with comedian Harsha Chemudu (Viva Harsha) in the lead, directed by Babu Degala. It’s about a young man whose marriage becomes an urgent family problem, and who moves to Hyderabad for an IT job. Hyper Aadi is in the cast too. A light watch, going by the premise.
What to watch, by mood
I haven’t seen these yet, so this is based on the story and the people involved, not a review.
- With family, in Telugu: Mandaadi (Telugu audio) or Least Eligible Bachelor.
- Thriller night: Reporting Live. If you’re fine with subtitles, Pradhama Drishtiya Kuttakkar.
- Big-star action: Khalifa.
- Young love story (adults): Epic.
- Something to binge: Eyes. The subject is heavy, so pick your time.
Before you press play
- Check the audio menu. “5 languages” in a news article doesn’t always match what the app shows on day one.
- Check the plan. Lionsgate Play and ManoramaMAX need their own subscriptions. Khalifa is on Prime Video too, so most people won’t need them.
- Don’t use piracy sites or Telegram links. Every title here is on a legal platform, and those links are the usual way phones pick up malware.
What’s still unknown
- Runtimes weren’t shown on the Netflix pages I checked.
- Whether Pradhama Drishtiya Kuttakkar gets dubbed audio on Netflix later.
- OTT dates for this week’s small theatre releases. They haven’t been announced.
Planning a theatre trip instead? The big ones start on 15 October. See our October 2026 movie releases list and the Jailer 2 release date and trailer post for dates and booking.
